Provides administration and troubleshooting to Windows 2016 virtual servers and Windows 10 virtual desktops in support of the 500 seat US Navy Tactical Training Group Pacific SIPRNET. Configures and administers VMware ESXi and vSphere network with VMware View desktop virtualization infrastructure. Provides Tier 2/3 customer support and works well with customers to resolve issues ranging from log-on problems, troubleshooting support for email, and computer setup. Administers Microsoft Exchange domain address lists, recipients, and public folders. Administers Veritas Backup Exec to provide data availability and recovery for SIPRNET services in San Diego and Yokosuka, Japan. Supports the configuration and troubleshooting of network services for TTGP’s military C4I systems. Configures Cisco Catalyst switches, and resolves LAN connectivity issues, port security violations and performs Cisco IOS upgrades to ensure compliance and security through NETTN Enterprise Management Plan (EMP) Security compliance.
Performs internal hardware and networking reconfigurations for FST event support and/or reconfigurable Tactical Operation Center supporting mission and training requirements. Performs shipboard network installations, deploying VM laptops and VoIP phones to facilitate secure network connectivity to/from San Diego through Virtual Private Network (VPN) modules. Registers VoIP phones on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager). Configures KG-175D cryptographic device to provide end-to-end secure communications between TTGP and afloat ships in San Diego, Pacific Northwest and Japan FCAs.
